In line with its commitment to innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency, BRILEN has completed the installation of a new energy storage unit connected to its 2,236 kW photovoltaic solar plant.
This system, with a total storage capacity of 4,472 kWh, will optimise electricity consumption, enhance energy management and contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions through a more efficient use of renewable energy.
The project is part of the incentive programme for self-consumption and energy storage with renewable sources, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, in accordance with Royal Decree 477/2021.
The total investment amounts to €1,772,264.98, of which €531,679.49 has been co-financed through public funding.
With this project, BRILEN strengthens its energy transition strategy towards a more efficient, sustainable production model, aligned with decarbonisation and circular economy goals.
